Are Online Freebies Legit?

There are many legit websites that offer free products. Although this may sound like a scam, it is usually not. Companies typically send people freebies because they need feedback from users to help them improve their products.

Real customer opinions are vital to any business. That’s why they offer free products in exchange for your honest feedback and review.

Unfortunately, there are still scam websites out there that promise free stuff. Nonetheless, there’s an easy way to distinguish a scam from a real opportunity.

How to Avoid Getting Scammed?

In general, legit companies and websites that offer free samples only require your name, email address, and mailing address.

On the other hand, scam websites usually require you to fill out your Social Security Number or credit card information. Remember to never provide this sensitive information on any websites that offer free stuff. You should also beware and stay away if a platform offers high-ticket items for free, such as an iPhone, a car, or a house.

While you will usually not have to pay to get free stuff from a legitimate company, some companies may require you to pay for shipping. In such cases, it will be indicated that you will have to pay for shipping.

Are Online Freebies Really Free?

Most online freebies are completely free to claim. However, some of the offerings require you to pay for shipping or just a few dollars to get sample packs.

At the same time, many platforms enable users to get free stuff in exchange for feedback on the products they send them. These tend to be product testing platforms that offer free stuff to gather user opinions so they can improve their products.
