How Does BiggerBooks Work?

BiggerBooks is an online platform for buying, renting, and selling textbooks. Founded in 2001 in Kentucky, it aims to provide an affordable option for students to access textbooks.

BiggerBooks offers great deals to students, letting them buy books with discounts of up to 91%. The platform also has textbooks and items for rent, letting customers choose their terms and providing them free shipping.

But suppose you’re not a student and, instead, looking to sell your stuff online. In that case, you can sell your textbooks to BiggerBooks and make some cash.

How it works is quite straightforward. You’ll need to note your book’s ISBN first and use that to search for it on the BiggerBooks website. If your book is one of the things you can sell to BiggerBooks, you’ll see its buyback price.

You can sell more than one book at the same time by entering their ISBNs in the search field. Just make sure to separate each ISBN with a comma.

BiggerBooks will list the books it can buy from you, showing the price for each. Once you’ve listed all the books you want to sell, you can click on the green Sell Selected Books button.

The website will generate the total price for your books. The total price must be at least $5 to proceed to checkout. Otherwise, you’ll need to add more books to sell until you reach that threshold.

Note that you can only sell up to 5 copies of the same title. If you need to sell books in bulk, you’ll need to send an email to eservice@biggerbooks.com.

Finalizing the Sale

On the checkout page, you’ll need to provide contact details and submit your buyback order. BiggerBooks will send you a confirmation email, reiterating their offered price. You’ll need to print and include this confirmation email when you ship the books.

The offered price is good for 7 days, so you’ll need to ship the books before this period is up. Also, BiggerBooks will provide you with a prepaid shipping prepaid label, so you don’t pay to ship.

Getting Paid

Once they have your books, BiggerBooks will inspect them and verify authenticity and origin. In some cases, sellers might need to provide proof of purchase. Books that don’t pass their quality checks and violate their policies will not be returned to the seller.

When your books pass inspection, you’ll receive payment through the method you opted for when you created the buyback order.

How Much Can You Earn With BiggerBooks?

There’s no limit to how much you can earn with BiggerBooks since you can sell or rent out as many books as you can to them. That is, you’ll need to make several buyback orders. Also, your earnings depend on the current market prices of the books you sell to them.

For a single buyback, however, you can expect to earn at least $5. As for rental, you’ll need to add an ISBN of your book to get a rental value for it.

BiggerBooks Reviews: Is BiggerBooks Legit?

BiggerBooks has a 4.2 rating on Trustpilot, making it a safe and legit place to sell your books. Out of the 300+ reviews, 66% gave it five stars, with most complimenting the fast shipment of books.

Meanwhile, some of the ratings on the platform came from customers who had issues with the books they received, particularly with the quality. BiggerBooks replied that they issued a refund to the customers.

Who Is BiggerBooks Best for?

Besides students looking for affordable books to purchase or rent, BiggerBooks is an ideal platform for ex-college students looking to sell or rent out their old textbooks.

Also, the website is best for people looking to sell used stuff, like books, without going through the hassle of listing and answering customer queries.

Finally, BiggerBooks can be a great option if you want to sell things and not pay for shipping.

What Can You Sell With BiggerBooks?

BiggerBooks buys textbooks and other books, such as fiction and nonfiction. The best way to check if they will buy your books is by entering the ISBN on their website.

Also, take note that BiggerBooks don’t purchase the following:

  • Teacher’s editions
  • Instructor’s editions
  • International editions
  • Other like editions

Moreover, make sure that your books are in good condition, that is, they must have no torn pages. The cover or dust jacket must be intact, too.

Except for study guides which must be in pristine condition, textbooks are considered in good condition even if they have writings, margin notes, or highlights.

BiggerBooks Benefits: What Does BiggerBooks Offer?

Quick Online Process

Through its website, BiggerBooks offers a quick online process for selling your books. You only need to enter your book’s ISBN, which you can locate near the book’s barcode, on the search field.

From there, you’ll see right away if you can sell your books and how much the buyback prices are. Following the guided process, you can receive the confirmation email and prepaid shipping label in minutes, and ship out your books within the same day.

Prepaid Shipping Label

When it comes to selling items online, you might find yourself holding back due to shipping costs. After all, online selling platforms typically allow sellers to list items and handle the shipping themselves.

But with BiggerBooks, you need not worry about paying for shipping since they’ll provide a prepaid shipping label. You can print this out after completing your online buyback order.

Convenient and Hassle-Free Selling

One of the best perks of selling books through BiggerBooks is its convenient and hassle-free process. You can initiate the process online and skip the process of creating several listings for books and dealing with customers.

When it comes to shipping your boxed items to BiggerBooks, you only need to attach your buyback order and shipping label. Then, you can drop them off at your postal carrier, collection box, or the local post office.

There’s nothing much to do from that point except enjoy your time while waiting for your payment.
