Let’s be honest – owning a car is convenient, yet pretty expensive. You need to buy gas, pay for maintenance and keep it clean. All of these things aren’t really cheap.

So what if I told you that you could put your car to work and let it earn you extra cash to cover its own expenses?

Wrapify is an app that allows you to earn money by what you’re already doing anyway – driving.

If you’re wondering if Wrapify is a legit way to make money, keep reading this Wrapify review to learn more about the app and how it works exactly.

Let’s jump right in!

What is Wrapify?

Wrapify is an advertising service that allows you to sign up and get your car wrapped up in advertising banners. In return, you’ll earn money for the distance you travel in your car.

So Wrapify is a win-win platform for you and the company that needs to spread its advertisements around the streets. But in today’s Wrapify review, I’ll focus on the driver’s side of Wrapify and how you can earn money driving around wrapped in advertisements.

How Does Wrapify Work?

The way Wrapify works is pretty simple. Whenever a Wrapify campaign pops up in your area, you can accept it. Then you’ll take your car to Wrapify office where they will wrap it in advertisements for free.

Once your car is wrapped up, the Wrapify app (for iOS and Android) will track your daily commute and you will be paid accordingly.

Campaigns are usually one to six months long. Once the campaign is over, Wrapify will remove the wrap for you and you can have your car back to how it was.

Is Wrapify Legit?

Wrapify does what it says. There haven’t been any issues of Wrapify missing driver payments or scamming drivers in the past. So yes, it is a legitimate car wrap advertising app.

However, recent reviews on Google Play and App Store show that drivers complain about multiple things, including:

  • The lack of prompt payment
  • The slow communication process with Wrapify support
  • Issues with the app due to the circumstances of the pandemic

Overall, Wrapify is a legitimate app that pays you for driving with a car that’s wrapped up in advertisements.

How Does Wrapify Make Money?

Using Wrapify is free for you. So you might be wondering how the app makes money.

In fact, the business model adopted by Wrapify is quite profitable for them. They don’t own storage spaces, billboards, or anything. Instead, they use their drivers’ cars for advertising.

They make money by undertaking many advertising campaigns from different brands and agencies. And the only significant expense they have is the payment to the drivers and the payments for the wraps.

Who Are Wrapify’s Clients?

A number of brands have collaborated with Wrapify to manage their advertising campaigns over the years. Coca-Cola, Google, Zoom, and over 100 other well-known brands have already done their campaigns through Wrapify.

However, Wrapify isn’t only for worldwide popular brands like Coca-Cola. Any small business owner can visit the Wrapify website and submit their applications for review.

How Much Can You Make with Wrapify?

Wrapify campaigns are run on a specified area suggested by the advertiser. When you accept a particular campaign, a campaign zone is set for you. A campaign zone is usually around 50 miles from the advertiser’s target city.

Moreover, Wrapify offers 4 different Wrap Coverage Levels that Wrapify offers, based on how much your car is covered. The amount you make with Wrapify will also depend on this.

The table below shows how much you can earn with each Wrap Coverage Level:

Full Coverage$264 – $452 per month
Partial Coverage$196 – $280 per month
Lite Coverage$181 – $280 per month
Static+ Rideshare Topper$174 – $280 per month

In general, Wrapify claims you can earn something between $150 to $450 each month depending on the campaign and the distance you’ve traveled.

How Much Does Wrapify Pay per Mile?

Once again, just having a wrap will not make you any money. You have to drive around in the campaign zones if you’re to earn any money.

The payment per mile depends on several things like the time of the day, the number of vehicles on the road, and the time you spent on traffic.

But on average, you can earn $0.20 per mile.

Wrapify Requirements: How Do You Qualify for Wrapify?

There are certain requirements you have to meet in order to be eligible for wrapping your car with advertisements. So here they are:

  • You must own a car that is a 2010 or newer.
  • Your car can be a Coupe, Sedan, SUV, Pick up Truck, or Minivan. Motorbikes, Commercial Vehicles, and RVs are not supported.
  • Your car shouldn’t have any significant body/paint damages.
  • Wrapify will also do a background on you to see if you have any traffic violations or accidents to your name within a couple of years.

Now that you know which cars you should own, and how they assess you, let’s see how you can qualify for Wrapify:

  • You must be over the age of 21.
  • Once you sign up, you are required to drive a distance of 50 qualifying miles – this distance should be covered through your daily commute (one long trip won’t cut).

Once you’ve done this, Wrapify will send you a campaign offer depending on the campaigns available in your area.

How to Make Money with Wrapify?

Getting started with Wrapify is quite easy. Let me go over the process step-by-step so you won’t miss anything.

Step 1: Download the Wrapify App

The very first step to getting started with Wrapify is to download the app on your iOS and Android device.

Step 2: Sign Up & Finalize Your Profile

Once you’ve installed the Wrapify app, you should sign up and fill out some basic information about you. Based on the information you provide Wrapify, the app will customize its offers and show you only the relevant campaigns in your area.

After you submit all the required information, Wrapify will ask you to consent to a background check. During this process, Wrapify will  check your driving history to see if you’ve had any traffic violations or accidents within the last couple of years.

Moreover, in order to finalize your sign up process, you’ll be asked to take a test drive of 50 miles.

Step 3: Receive Offers

As soon as your profile is finalized and approved, you’ll get access to available campaigns in your area. Feel free to review each campaign closely and either accept or reject them based on your personal preferences.

Step 4: Take Your Car for a Wrap

When you find the campaign you’d like to take part in, you should take your car to the Wrapify location where they will place advertising banners on your car for free.

Step 5: Activate the App While Driving

So now you already have your car wrapped up with advertising. All you’ve left to do is continue driving as you usually would. But with one difference – you need to activate the Wrapify app before you start driving and close it when you arrive at your destination.

This way, the Wrapify app counts the distance you’ve traveled with the advertising so that they can pay you accordingly.

Wrapify Pros & Cons

Pros

  • You can earn extra cash just by your usual everyday commute.
  • There are no signup or registration fees that you have to pay.
  • Once the campaign is over, you can have the wrap taken off and get started with another campaign right away.
  • Wrapify doesn’t damage your car. Once the wrap is taken off, your car is in its original condition.

Cons

  • If you don’t drive in a crowded and urban city, the amount you earn can be relatively low.
  • There are instances where the app hasn’t recorded miles accurately. The actual miles you drive won’t be compensated if this happens.

Wrapify Alternatives

Wrapify vs. Carvertise

Carvertise has the same features as Wrapify. You don’t have to pay to get started with them and Carvertise will cover your car with advertisements the same way as Wrapify does. However, unlike Wrapify, Carvertise has certain limits you can earn each month. On the other hand, the more you drive with Wrapify, the more you’ll earn.

Wrapify vs. MyFreeCar

MyFreeCar is also a reliable way to wrap your car and earn some money driving. You can wrap your car for a few months and get paid similar to Wrapify but most of the advertisers available at MyFreeCar require you to keep banners on your car for at least 12 months. So if you’re not willing to have a wrap for that long, MyFreeCar might not be the best fit for you.

Wrapify vs. Promotocar

Promotocar is also an alternative to Wrapify that you can try out, allowing you to earn the same way as Wrapify. Nevertheless, Promotocar is only available in a few cities of Texas right now, if you’re anywhere outside Texas, then Promotocar is not an option for you.

Is Wrapify Worth it?

If you’re someone who spends a lot of time driving on a busy, crowded road in your typical day, it is definitely worth it.

You don’t have to pay any fees to get registered, and the payment for the wrap is covered by Wrapify. So you will get paid to drive just as you would drive on a regular work (or leisure) day.

It doesn’t hurt to try out the app – at least not financially. So I recommend you test it out yourself to earn some cash on the side. It can at least cover your car-related expenses.

FAQ

Can you do Uber and Wrapify?

You most definitely can. Most companies like Uber will not recommend you to do this but there are no restrictions from them, and there are no prohibitions from Wrapify either. But make sure the campaigns you accept are not offensive or negative towards any community because that will result in you getting a bad rating in Uber.

Do companies really pay to wrap your car?

Yes, they actually do. A number of renowned brands such as Google, Lyft, eBay, and Coca-Cola have done campaigns through Wrapify. You don’t have to worry about not getting paid, because you are working with Wrapify and not with brands directly.

Does Wrapify damage paint?

Wrapify won’t damage your car in any way. Moreover, the vinyl wraps act as a cover for the paint that even prevents your car from damaging the paint from weather exposure or mechanical scratches.
