How Does Wonolo Work?

Wonolo offers a platform where business owners and people looking for gig jobs online can finally meet. By contacting the Wonolo sales team, business owners can post jobs and look for their next best candidate, all the while working within their recruitment costs.

Meanwhile, workers on the platform, also known as Wonoloers, can use it for free and find jobs. How it works is pretty straightforward. As a worker, you can start by downloading the Wonolo app to your smartphone.

Then, you’ll need to create a profile and finish the signup process. Once you have an account, you can browse the job board and accept those that fit your preferences.

Alternatively, you can also use the sort option to look for jobs. This allows you to generate search results based on:

  • Industry
  • Location
  • Hourly pay

You can select any from the results and view the following details about the job:

  • Description
  • Pay
  • Any job specification
  • Start time
  • Duration
  • Location

Wonolo Badges

Note that some jobs might require special qualifications or badges. When you click on Accept to get the job, the app will direct you to another page that has a link on how to get the badge.

Additionally, you can proactively get these badges even if you’re not applying for any jobs on the platform. On your Wonolo app, just go to Wonolo’s Badge Library to acquire those.

Getting a Job

Suppose you’ve accepted the job and that there are no additional qualifications to complete. In that case, you can proceed to your work location on the set schedule.

On the app, make sure to tap on the Start button before starting your work onsite. Then, tap on Complete once you finish work and before leaving the worksite.

Getting Paid

That way, Wonolo can process your payment, which can take up to 5 business days. In case you miss tapping the Start or Complete buttons, you can contact your employer or job requestor for that day to validate the job completed for you.

There might come a time when you can’t go to your job after accepting it. For that, make sure to withdraw from the job through the app as soon as you can.

Wonolo has a breach of contract policy that covers not showing up for work or failing to withdraw before the work schedule. By violating this, Wonoloers will have less access to jobs, get removed from accepted jobs, and have their future earnings impacted.

How Much Can You Make With Wonolo?

How much you make with Wonolo depends on the gig work you’re doing. However, independent contractors on the platform make around $16 per hour.
