How Does Voices Work?

Voices works quite like other job marketplaces these days. Members can either look for voice talents or clients. For both cases, you’ll need to sign up for a free account first.

From there, clients can post a job and Voices will send invites for voice talents. The talents, then, can send messages and offers. Through those, clients can choose the best offer and proceed with the project.

Another option for clients to look for talents on the platform is by connecting with Voices in-house experts. In this option, Voices will handle the entire project, following the requirements of the clients.

Voices As a Gig

Considering how Voices work for clients, it’s also one of the places you can look for a gig job from home. As a voice talent, you’ll need to create a profile first and upload samples of your work.

When you receive private invitations from prospective clients, make sure to send your replies as soon as possible. Ideally, include the following in your proposal:

  • Custom or existing samples
  • Brief introduction
  • Quote

After a client hires you, Voices provides tools and features that you can use to manage the project. It has a private messaging feature so you can easily communicate with your client. You’ll also need the app to upload your work and manage any revisions.

As you complete the project, Voices already holds the client’s payment through its payment protection service called SurePay. They will release the payment once you complete the job.

How Much Can You Make With Voices?

How much you can make depends on the project you complete. Voices has a Voice Over Rate Sheet to guide talents in pricing their services. The rate sheet is based on whether the job is for broadcasting or non-broadcasting.

Here’s a table to give you an idea:

Job TypeExamples of projectsPotential earnings
BroadcastTV, radio, paid online ad spotsAt least $250 per 13-week project
Non-broadcastAnything other than broadcast jobsAt least $100 per finished minutes

Voices vs. DoorDash

DoorDash Summary

  • Choose your own flexible working hours
  • Earn up to $25 per hour + tips
  • Get $150 when you refer a friend to join
  • You get to keep 100% of all tips

If you’re looking for other gig work beside a gig job from home like what Voices offer, you might want to check out DoorDash. Similar to Voices, it offers the opportunity to work on your time and how much you earn depends on your work hours.

However, DoorDash can be an ideal job if you enjoy driving around the city and fulfilling food delivery orders.

Voices vs. GrubHub

GrubHub Summary

  • High average earnings of $12 per hour
  • Instant cash out for your earnings
  • Earn more from tips and peak periods
  • Deliver with car, bike, scooter, motorcycle

GrubHub is one of the alternatives to DoorDash as both offer food delivery services. In a way, it’s also similar to Voices since you can work and be your own boss here.

But, GrubHub isn’t a gig work from home. Considering the perks of a gig job from home, you might want to check out Voices first.

Voices vs. GoPuff

GoPuff Summary

  • Potential to earn up to $21 per hour
  • Additional ways to earn extra cash
  • Good side hustle even with a full-time job
  • Work as much or as little as you want

The food and grocery delivery services are surely some of the on-demand jobs and gigs these days. GoPuff is one of the places you can consider if you want to join this industry. It also offers a flexible work schedule and can be a good source of income.

But like GrubHub and DoorDash, GoPuff requires workers to be on the road most of the time. You’ll be using your personal vehicle for deliveries, too. With these in mind, finding clients through Voices and working from home sounds preferable.
