Acorns Summary

  • Low account fees from just $3 per month
  • Get $5 in your account for referrals
  • Low minimum starting investment amount
  • High average return on investments of 7.5%

Acorns is one of Stash’s main competitors if you are looking for a mobile investing app. However, unlike Stash, Acorns offers the additional feature of Round-Up investing. With this feature, Acorns rounds up your spending to the nearest dollar and helps you invest the difference.

Acorns also offers different pricing plans compared to Stash. Acorns’ plans start from $3 to $5, whereas Stash’s plans start from $3 to $9.

Moreover, Acorns also has a limited selection of just five portfolios that you can choose from.

Stash vs. Fundrise

Fundrise Summary

  • Low minimum starting investment of $10
  • High historical returns of 8.8% to 12.4%

  • Diverse portfolios of up to 16 investments

Unlike Stash, Fundrise is a platform that specializes in real estate investments. Fundrise owns and operates private real estate investment trusts (REITs). You can invest in these REITs by joining Fundrise as a member.

By investing in REITs, you can earn returns on your investments in the form of capital gains when the properties in the REIT increase in value. You can also earn dividends if the properties in the REIT make a profit. Thus, Fundrise is a good alternative to Stash if you want to have a source of passive income.

Stash vs. Public

Public App Summary
