How Does PICKUP Work?
PICKUP is an on-demand delivery service of large and heavy items offering same-day delivery from national and local stores.
As the best gig worker website, PICKUP allows you to be in control of how you want to earn revenue. This includes the hours you work and how many times a week you will log into PICKUP as a part-time or full-time Good Guy.
Once you log into the PICKUP’s Service Provider App, you’ll be notified of an available contract run. The service app will set a maximum of 50-mile distance between the store points and delivery to the customer.
Most of the time, it is less than 15 miles from point to point and takes about an hour to complete a run.
As a Goog Guy, you are responsible for transporting new items from the store to the customer’s address. In some cases, you’ll need to bring specialized equipment to deliver big-size deliveries to the customer’s doorstep, such as:
- 4 large moving blankets measuring 72”x80”
- 4 ratchet straps with a minimum length of 1”x15’
- 2 protective tarps with a minimum of 11’x7’ for open bed trucks
- 2 or 4 wheel furniture dolly that can be folded
- Stretch wrap with a minimum measurement of 18”x1500’
- Basic tool kit

PICKUP Good Guys reviews score 3.4 out of 5-star rating on Google Play, 3.1 on App Store, and 3.4 on Indeed.
Many people working as Good Guys state that seeing a smile on customers’ faces when they deliver their orders makes them happy. But that’s not all. Drivers are also happy because they earn a decent amount of money while working a flexible schedule.
But PICKUP clearly has room for improvement as well. Most PICKUP Good Guy complaints revolve around the app being buggy. A lot of Good Guys also report issues related to management not treating them well. As one Good Guy says, managers and supervisors are rude towards them and don’t communicate with the drivers who are delivering orders.
Despite problems the PICKUP app might have, it’s still a legit company that provides on demand jobs and gigs.
